Southminster Flower Show is the largest Horticultural Show in the Dengie Hundred drawing thousands of visitors annually.

The mainstay of the show are the three main marquees for Handicrafts , Floral Art and Horticulture.

Competitors start planning their entry immediately after the end of the Show and particularly in horticulture there is keen rivalry and many secret formulsa at work to grow the longest runner beans or straighest carrots. Many of freindship has ended following judging at the horticultural show!

As well as the tradional events there are marquees containing local organisations, a small farmers market and of course commercial stalls offering all sorts of  products.

Finally there is usually a small entertainment area with rides for children and games stalls.

What times is the Flower Show open?

Gates normaly open at 12 md with marquees opening and arena events stating at 2pm

The show starts to wind down at about 5pm

Where is Southminster Flower Show held?

The Flower Show is held on King George V Memorial Field, Station Road, Southminster, Essex.

Where do I park?

Parking is usually free - Follow the signs from Southminster Village centre
