Quizzes provide a great way for groups to hold a fun social event and if they wish to raise money for themselves or their favourite charity.

The Marshland Quizmaster Peter Layzell has been running quizzes since 1982 in serious Pub Team and fun quiz styles at which thousands of pounds have been raised for charity.

Experience shows that the most successful and enjoyable evenings revolve around tailoring questions in degree of difficulty and style to fit with the contestants and the efficient running of the event. If people really enjoy the quiz they will return for the next quiz and bring some friends. If the quiz is too hard or chaotic will they return next time?

As a guide to organisers normal charges per person attending local quizzes range from £1.50 to £10 per head.

Teams ranging from 4 to 10 people are allocated individual tables

Marshland is able to offer  NOT FOR PROFIT groups two subsidised packages to help them run quiz nights.

Silver package

Cost £15

Marshland will provide

written guidance sheet on running a quiz,

answer papers and questions on subjects requested by the organisation.

The organisations will

book venue and  publicise event,

sell tickets,

provide a question master,

mark papers,

administer event

Gold Package

Cost £65

Marshland will

Prepare the quiz to the specification of the organisation,

Provide guidance sheet on running a quiz

Attend the event

Set up amplifier, microphone etc if required

Provide answer sheets, spare paper and pens

Provide Jokers if required

Act as question master and master of ceremonies

Provide Winners Certificates for the winning team

Organisers will

Book Venue

Publicise event

Sell tickets

Bank their profit

Optional extras

Provide prizes/ Shields for winning team

Supply of buffet/fish and chip supper etc

Traveling expenses may be added for journeys over 15 miles

Packages for commercial organisations

Similar packages are available for commercial organisations although charges will be higher to reflect the time required in preparation and delivery of the quiz. Prices are negotiable for a series of bookings.
