The Dengie peninsula is served by libraries at Burnham on Crouch and Southminster and by a mobile library service that calls to the villages on a twice monthly basis
 Burnham on Crouch Library
Southminster Library 
Facilities on offer at Burnham and Southminster Libraries include Borrow Books (including large print) , Borrow Audio Books on cassette tape and CD Borrow DVDs , Internet access, Story and fun sessions for children , photocopying and fax.
Job centre and Next Steps Plus hold clinics at Burnham library on the first Thursday in the month 10 am - 1pm to provide an advisory service helping with updating your CV, job searching, careers advice, returning to work. Ring Burnham Library to make appointment 01621 782006
