The Crouch Valley
line is a branch line built in 1889 running 16.5 miles from
Southminster to Wickford.
Stations on the line are Battlesbridge,
South Woodham Ferrers, North Fambridge, Althorne, Burnham-on-Crouch,
Southminster.
Car parking is available at all stations
with payment via meters.
Regular electric trains operated by Greater
Anglia run on the line which include through trains to London
Liverpool Street at busy periods.
Trains have a conductor to collect fares and
check tickets although ticket offices are open from early morning to
about 11am on weekdays at Burnham Railway Station.
Train Times
The first train departs from Southminster
for Wickford just after 5am and the last train from Wickford
to Southminster leaves at about 11pm on weekdays.
Exact times are not given on this website as
the timetable regularly change so this website strongly recommends

Normally two trains an hour run on the line
although at rush hours these can be more frequent.
Problems on the line will mean the
cancellation of trains with a replacement bus service that calls at
all stations.
